Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne’s relationship took the spotlight in the sports world since they went public in August 2023. Despite both being tied up in different sports, they made sure to solidify their relationship via a single rule.
In an exclusive interview with People at the 2025 Fanatics Fest, Livvy Dunne revealed one key rule that both make sure to follow. She believes that “everything is a two-way road” and both need to be open-minded to adjustments to make things work.

“We don’t restrict each other from doing things. I’ve been in relationships in the past like that — where it’s almost like you have a leash on you, you can’t do anything.”
“But he has a job to do and I have a job to do — I know that’s so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize. So yeah, we just have a good time and it’s a two-way road.”
Since her official retirement from gymnastics, Olivia Dunne has been pursuing her dream activities involving watching and supporting her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, at games, diving into acting, and performing arts. One of her new goals also includes rating hot dogs after each stadium visit.
“I’m trying to go to as many baseball games as I can. I really just enjoy watching him and he’s always on the go. He’s an athlete, so I get it. I get the grind.”
Both have adjusted to a schedule that works for them. Despite trying to keep their personal time private, both are well-known faces in the sports world. Currently, Dunne is enjoying every moment of her time with her boyfriend Skenes, before ending up getting caught in another project.

Since the age of 3, Olivia Dunne’s life has revolved around gymnastics. But following her goodbye to the sport, she has now expressed excitement and hype to try new roles and opportunities.
“I’ve always said ‘no’ to opportunities way more than I’ve said ‘yes’ — so, I’m excited to do everything and be able to travel and to be able to do things on my time because it’s always been around gymnastics.”

“My life has revolved around gymnastics. So, honestly, to be able to say yes to more things and potentially maybe do some more performing art stuff on screen — and I’m very excited.”
She even hinted at trying out as an actor, but has not confirmed anything. When pushed for a definitive answer, she simply teased by saying, “Stay tuned.”
